Doda, Mar 23: Instead of ensuring basic and better health care and providing missing facilities in District Hospital Doda, the higher authorities of Health Department has recently transferred local lady doctor from DH Doda to SDH Bhaderwah.
As per reports, Director Health Services Jammu vide his order No 197 G of 2018 Dated 19-03-2018 has ordered for transfer of Dr Meenakshi Parihar (DGO) who was serving as Gynecologist at DH Doda, due to which the people of Doda and its adjoining areas are aghast over her transfer, saying that her transfer from the DH Doda would left the hospital work in lurch.
It is to mention here that, District Hospital Doda as being the oldest and premier health institution of Chenab Valley, caters to people from Doda, Bhaderwah, Thathri, Gandoh, Kishtwar and other major parts of the Chenab region and due to transfer of doctors would add more miseries to the people and hospital administration to run this premier institution.
The locals said Dr Meenakshi Parihar as being the local has served his duty at DH Doda with sincerity and dedication and has worked tirelessly to run DH Doda smoothly when another Lady Doctor Dr Madhu Chib remained on leave, added with the transfer of Dr Meenakshi Parihar only Lady Doctor is available now and it became difficult for her too to see the women patients who come in large number for gynae related problems and deliveries. |
