| People protest over water crisis, block road | | |  Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Mar 23: The people from Harni and adjoining areas held protest against the PHE authorities for the water scarcity and blocked road for over an hour at Harni town today.
A large number of villagers from Harni and Gultha assembled at Main Bazar Harni at around 11 am The protest lead by President Kissan Mazdoor unioun Mendhar Majid Khan boby and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the PHE authorities for their failure to provide adequate supply of water to the area. They alleged that water pipes were broken and not repaired since long and water supply to many localities has been snapped for several weeks. Later, Naib Tehsildar Harni Aftab Shah Sho Harni Sanjay Gupta and Aee Phe Munir Ahmed arrived there and assured the agitating people that their issue of water will be solved within two days. They also held talks with the AEE PHE Mendhar. On the assurance of Naib Tehsildar, the people then lift dharna from the road. |
