Jammu, Mar 23: Rescuing 15 bovine the Ghagwal Police on Friday foiled a bid of smuggling.
A Police Party of PS Ghagwal headed by Inspr Amit Andotra, SHO Ghagwal under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during naka checking signaled to stop the Truck bearing regd. No. JK02AE-1552 coming from Kathua side.
The driver on seeing the Police Party accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape from the spot. But after a successful chased by the Police, the driver abandoned the vehicle at NHW Jatwal and escaped from the spot. During checking of the vehicle, 15 Bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which was being transported illegally without any permission. The vehicle and the bovine animals were seized on spot. In this regard a case FIR No. 51/2018 U/S 188/279/295-A RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation is going on. |
