Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 1: All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Association to hold a massive rally in support of their demands on April, 16, it was decided in meeting held here today.
The meeting was chaired by Tanveer Hussain (President All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Association). The said meeting was to discuss the delay in the implementation of Sro 520, pending wages and various other issues. The meeting was attended by various division/district presidents and general secretaries along with the central committee including Deepak Gupta (V.President), Subhash Rakwal (Gen Secy), Bhanu Partap, Sanjeev Thakur etc.
Addressing the gathering Tanveer said that it is since very long that government had announced SRO 520 for our regularization but its implementation is delayed since very long because of reasons better known to them. He said that government need to speed up the process of verification of daily wagers and should fulfill its promise of starting regularization from 1st of April. He said that the government is delaying the process without any specific reason.
He said that wages of workers are not been paid since last many months and PHE daily wagers are struggling very hard to meet their both ends. He said that government should immediately release all the pending wages of the daily wagers without any delay. He also said that those who are left out from the Adhaar based biometric data should also be enlisted immediately so that no one should be left out who had given his full life to the department. He demanded that government should consider their demand of including DA and other various benefits in the SRO 520.
Further addressing he said that the department is trying to harass the workers on the name of vouchers, education qualification and maximum age factor. He said that is was clearly written SRO 520 that relaxations can be given but some officers are pressuring and harassing our workers unnecessarily. He said that association had unanimously decided that f two weeks government fails to address our issues will held a massive protest rally on 16th April 2018 at Chief Engineer's office, Jammu. He warned the government that if government tried to play with the daily wager they will be left with no option than to shut the water supply in coming season. He appealed that government should immediately issue the regularization lists after verification.
