Vijaypur, Apr 1: With apathetic attitude of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), the people of Vijaypur tehsil are being deprived of Ration cards, putting them to great inconvenience and distress. "The web portal for online registration of the beneficiaries has been closed since November 2017 due to which ration cards are not being issued to the people. People are visiting office daily to get
Ration Cards but every time they are sent back on the pretext that web portal was not working," they said.
They alleged that the concerned Minister has been blowing trumpet of smooth functioning of his department but the situation in Vijaypur reflected contrary picture of the department. "Instead of Ration Cards, the people have been issued slips by the concerned TSO to avail ration from their respective dealers but when they go to other departments to get benefits under various schemes, they are asked for original Ration Cards and denied benefits in the absence of the document. The benefits under IAY, PMGY, Toilets under Swanch Bharat Abhiyan, Old Age Pension, and Widow Pension are denied to them for want of Ration Cards," they alleged. People of Vijaypur alleged that they have submitted the application forms for issuance of Ration Cards thrice but every time when they visit to the office they are asked to submit the forms afresh. |
