4/1/2018 10:46:49 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 1: In the backdrop of killing of 10 local militants in three encounters with security forces in south Kashmir on Sunday, Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said it was painful to see loss of young lives and reiterated his appeal to the youth to shun the path of violence.
"It is painful to all of us to see loss of young life. It's my appeal again to the parents of the boys, who have taken the wrong path, that they should convenience them to leave the path of violence and come home," Dr Vaid, flanked by AK Bhatt, GOC Army's 15 Corps and the Inspector General (IG) CRPF and the IG police, told reporters during a press conference here on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, IG (Operations) of CRPF Zulfikar Hassan also endorsed the appeal of Dr Vaid though he said that security forces will take every action against all those who will violate law.
Hassan also appealed to the people not to go near the encounter sites as it was dangerous. However, he warned that operation against militants would continue even after demonstrations. "We appeal to the people to stay away from areas where encounter between militants and security forces erupts. Anybody can get killed in the firing," he said. He said demonstrations or no demonstrations; security forces will continue operations against militants.
