Jammu, Apr 1: 'Majlis' a multilingual Mushaira was organized by Jammu Cultural Forum (Regd.) at 'Nasheman', resident of well known Urdu poet Pritpal Singh Betab.
A large number of poets of Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Dogri participated and recited their poetry in the Mushiara. Prof. Lalit Magotra was the Chief Guest and Om Prakash Vidyarthi was the special guest on this occasion.
Welcoming the guests and poets, Sham Sajan, President, Jammu Cultural Forum (JCF) said that the present programme is the third one at 'Nasheman' as a part of multifaceted cultural events of JCF.
He informed that the Forum has many programmes far flung areas as well residential places of the noted contributors in the field of culture in all its genres. The poets who participated in this Majlis included Deepak Aarsi, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, Col. Raj Manawari, K K Shakir, Usha Kiran , Jang S. Verman, Tara Chand Kalandari, Suraj Ratan, Sham Sajan, Gyaneshwar Sharma, Anila Singh Charak, Varun Veer, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Pritpal Singh Betab and Prof. Lalit Gupta. |
