Accused involved in beating woman labourer identified, arrested

JAMMU, Apr 2: The lady laborer whose video was surfaced on social media few days ago was identified by the police as Indrani Patel W/O Laxmi Narayan Patel R/O Tundwah, Chattisgarh. The lady was residing as tenant in a private house in Malipeth area of the town.
Following the surfacing of video in Social Media, there was massive outrage among the people of Kishtwar District who demanded action against the culprits involved in shaming the district.
After Early Times carried the news regarding outrage among the people of Kishtwar, the officials of Kishtwar police today responded that the FIR had already been registered in police station Kishtwar and also claims that the accused were identified and arrested.
As per one senior police officer on March 26 Police Station Kishtwar received information that the complainant is residing in the house of one Mushtaq Ahmed Dar of Malipeth. At about 9.00 AM she was beaten up by one Abdul Rahim S/O Mohd Saber alongwith his wife through fists and blows and was rescued from the clutches of accused by her husband.
The Police on this report registered FIR No.77/2018 u/s 451/323/504/34 RPC and got the victim medically examined. The police started the investigations and arrested both the accused. The investigation of the case is complete and police shall produce challan of the case in next few days.
