Jammu, April 2: As the health of one of the woman, sitting on the fast unto death to seek the transfer of alleged Kathua rape and murder case to Central Bureau of Investigation, deteriorated on Monday police tried to move her to the hospital but the attempt was foiled by the protesters.
Four women sat on fast unto death three days ago demanding CBI probe into the case. "Condition of one of the woman deteriorated on Monday following which administration sent a team of doctors to the spot. The doctors termed condition of one of the ladies as critical and advised that she should be hospitalized," sources said.
They said that after the advice of the doctors a police team of Hira Nagar police, including women cops, tried to shift the women to the hospital. However, activists of Hindu Ekta Manch along with protestors started raising slogans against the police and Chief Minister. "Sensing trouble the Police team went back." |
