Imran Khan still trying to become political Captain: Prof Gupta
7/30/2018 10:00:34 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: The former Union Minister, Prof.Chaman Lal Gupta has termed the post election statement of Imran Khan as sober and reconciliatory but the Cricketer is still inching to become the political Captain of Pakistan which is dominated by the Army Generals and is in bad shape in various spheres of life.
According to press release, Prof Gupta also former Union Minister said that because of being much short of numbers the Cricketer has to play on a tricky wicket under domination of the Army. In the situation it is bound to increase. Even the contesting parties of Pakistan are alleging the foul play of the Army Generals in manipulating the elections.
As far India is concerned the security agencies must raise their vigil and the past experiences should be taken into account. Prof. Gupta cautioned and pointed out how the reconciliatory moves were scuttled by enacting Kargil in 1999 and later on bloodshed at Pathankot after Shri Narender Modi's visit to Lahore to see the then Pak-PM Nawaz Shrief. In addition to these two major efforts for having peace, the traders of human blood had always played their dirty role to have their way.
Prof. Gupta ridiculed the eagerness of the leaders of National Conference, Congress and their like other pseudo secularists in the Valley harping for talks with Pakistan. He questioned their sincerity and made a poser that why they failed to do so when they themselves were in authority for so many years and when there was much higher violence in Kashmir during their tenure.
He said that legally and constitutionally J&K is an integral part of India and no one has the authority to change this position. In the situation the only way out for eternal peace and tranquility could be to have the porous borders as the communal division had led to painful situation which was of course the result of mechanizations of the imperialists who wanted to have their foot hold in this land even after the independence of India because of strategic position of Kashmir against the then Soviet Union.
Prof. Gupta said that the time has proved that how dangerous were the designs behind the communal partition. But the leadership of two dominions should calmly ponder over the situation to minimize the effects of ill designed division and bring the divided people closer to generate harmony.
He said that if the two Germans can reunite and the China Wall can be demolished, why people of India and Pakistan cannot come closer as they were having the common culture, language even their ancestors. Bloodshed and aggressive designs are no solution, he added and observed extremism can bring only miseries but no peace and prosperity.
