Early Times Report

Sunderbani, July 30: A committee constituted to probe incident of thrashing of a girl student by a teacher at Government middle school upper Barnara turned out to be a public rally to save the teacher and deny justice to the victim.
The committee constituted under the presiding officer Principal Ramseh Chander Sharma (Incharge ZEO) Government H S school Devak zone lower hathal Tasil sunderbani who called the teacher for furnishing the details, but along with it, the principal also made it sure that a large number of people may gather in the school to support the accused teacher.
The father of the victim while talking to the Early Times said that he was called by the ZEO to reach the school but after seeing the unruly mob gathered at the school premises, he preferred to stay away.
However, as per the guidelines for constituting a committee to look into any grievance, it is only obligatory to call the culprit and victim in-camera.
People alleged that the incharge principal who is also ZEO lower hathal is himself accused of conduct which is unbecoming of a government officer.
Further, the accused teacher Gulshan Kumar is already booked in an FIR lodged at Police Station Sunderbani. The people of the area have demanded probe against the accused teacher Gulshan Kumar and that the principal Ramesh Chander in charge ZEO be booked for going against rules and supporting a culprit.
