Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 30: Hitting out at the PDP president MehboobaMufti for her comment that she suffered during the alliance of her party with the BJP in the state, National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah asked if Mufti has always been so 'far removed from reality.'Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, said still it is all about Ms Mufti and her 'sufferings' even when she is one of the few people who didn't suffer over the last few years.
"Unbelievable! Even now it's all about her & her "suffering". She is one of the few people who didn't suffer over the last few years. Has @MehboobaMufti always been so far removed from reality?" Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
"Mufti Mohammad Syed agreed to join hands with BJP again because we had a good alliance during Vajpayee ji era. But this time, it was a difficult decision. Forming an alliance with BJP was like drinking poison. I suffered during the 2.2 years of alliance," Ms Mehbooba had said while speaking at the 19th foundation day of her party here on July 28.
Ms Mehbooba had to resign from the post of chief minister after her alliance partner, BJP, pulled out support, resulting in collapse of the coalition government. Governor's rule was later imposed in the state.
