Real estate dealer showers SHO with gifts

JAMMU, Oct 5: A Station House Officer (SHO) of one of the police stations located in headquarters area of district Jammu is enjoying a strong bonding with a property dealer.
Sources said the depth relationship between the SHO and the property dealer could be gauged from the fact that the latter has not only given luxurious and expensive gifts for decorating SHO's room at the police station but also provided luxurious touch to the cop's personal room at his residence.
"The SHO's room at the police station is endowed with the air conditioner, LED television and other expensive gadgets. Also, the police officer's has been gifted with lavish products for his use at his residence. The SHO is receiving such costly gifts from his property dealer friend because the latter is getting huge benefits in his business due to his close association with the cop," said sources.
They said the SHO extends full cooperation to the property dealer in settling disputes in land deals while in return the former gets his demands fulfilled as and when required.
"The SHO is holding the charge of one of the key police stations of district Jammu. Several property dealers reside in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of this police station but the SHO has special affection with one particular property dealer who is very wealthy," said sources
"The dealer has invested huge amount in the real estate business due to which he is often caught in disputes. Recently, the property dealer got involved in a big row over land deal following which the SHO fully backed him. The police officer hushed up the case and got cash as well as gifts for favouring the property dealer," added sources.
They said the property dealer has developed very warm relations with the SHO which has paved way to his full access of the police station. The property dealer is now a frequent visitor to the police station and he is able to get anything done at will due to his close rapport with the SHO, who in lieu of those works gets whatever he wishes.
