Valley witnessing civil war like situation, terrorists on killing spree
Separatists pitting Kashmiris against Kashmiris
10/5/2018 10:52:57 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 5: Terrorists killing two National Conference workers and injuring another in Srinagar's old city on Friday has once again brought to fore the ugly face of Pakistan sponsored terrorism.
These killings have been apparently carried out to create fear psychosis ahead of the first phase of polling slated to be held on October 8.
"Someone needs to ask the killers why two political workers were shot dead in cold blood. What was their fault?" asked a Kashmir watcher.
He said that the so-called champions of human rights, Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, who keep on giving shutdown calls every now and then have always maintained silence over such killings. "They have been issuing provocative statements asking people to boycott these polls and have been labeling the activists of the mainstream parties as traitors," the Kashmir watcher said.
He said, "To an extent separatists are directly responsible for these killings. They have been pursuing the agenda of Pakistan in the Valley and leave no opportunity to disrupt the normal life in the Valley. They have been projecting mainstream politicians and the workers of the political parties as the enemies of people and are responsible for turning them into soft targets."
A politician said, "These separatists are responsible for Kashmiris killing Kashmiris. They have been pitting people against each other. And terrorists by carrying out the innocent killings are trying to create a civil war like situation in Kashmir. It's high time for people of Kashmir to come out in open and rebel against the Pakistan stooges whose only agenda is to destroy Kashmir and get the people killed."
He said that National Investigating Agency has exposed how these separatists have been selling the blood of Kashmiris by taking money from their masters sitting across the Line of Control and other foreign countries. "Their only aim is to keep Kashmir burning as they don't want peace to prevail and Valley to prosper. Attempts are being made to enforce yet another migration from Kashmir so that the saner elements who want peace and tranquility are thrown out of this land," the politician added.
An observer said that the Government of India needs to take a decisive action against the separatists operating in the Valley. "Their space needs to be choked. They pose a big threat to peace and till they are not put behind the bars situation in the Valley won't improve. Killings and bloodshed would continue as they would keep on instigating the people by spreading hate against the country," he added.
