Let super powers mount pressure on Pakistan to open talks with India
10/5/2018 10:39:19 PM
Besides the UN several other countries, including Germany, want settlement of the Kashmir issue through talks. If talks were not held for the last five years who is to blame for it? This question is not being identified and if some head scratching is done it will result in the open blame of Pakistan for not conceding any of the demands from India for opening the doors of talks. While referring to the Kashmir issue the German diplomat said Kashmir issue is a "very complex" and India and Pakistan have inherited this very difficult and complex situation and the country wishes that the two nuclear armed neighbours resolve it through dialogue. Deputy Head of German Mission in New Delhi, Dr. Jasper Wieck said the situation in Kashmir is worse than 2013 when German embassy in collaboration with Government of India (GoI) had organised Zubin Mehta's music concert in Srinagar.
He said today authorities would very much advice not to conduct such a concert in the Valley. If Germany finds the situation has assumed alarming dimensions in Kashmir who is responsible for it ? Only Pakistan because it continues to export terror to Jammu and Kashmir by pushing groups of terrorists into the valley under ceasefire violations drama.
Not only this various militant outfits, especially Lashkar-i-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hizbul Mujahideen have been instructed to start recruitment drive within the valley so that there is no manpower shortage for the terrorists. And under these instructions militants have targeted police stations and police posts with the purpose of killing policemen and loot their weapons. There have been series of armed attacks on the police and one PDP MLA and a former Minister, who had been provided with a security cover, one SPO has joined Hizbul mujahideen outfit after taking service weapons of seven guns. And the PDP leader is being questioned to know about the serious incident. And these very incidents have led to the demoralization of the police.
And the only way to teach a lesson or two to Pakistan is if the super powers join hands and tell Islamabad to respond to the preconditions set by India for opening the doors of talks. Once Pakistan comes under pressure from these super powers Islamabad may stop exporting terror to Jammu and Kashmir and there is a possibility that Pakistan may wind up the arms training camps and demolish the safe havens for terrorists. And so far the US has cut down three million dollar military aid to Pakistan since Islamabad di not initiate action against terrorists. And knowing that China has been backing Pakistan there is no worry but Pakistan may come under the spell of worry if the super powers join hands and mount pressure on Pakistan to respond to India's conditions for opening the process of dialogue.
