Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 16: Chief Minister is once again stoking feeling of exclusivism in valley to mange his foot hold in the state politics, where he has already been corner, rather relegated to fringe political entity. Speaking at Independence day function, Omar found fault in parliament discussing the Kishtwar violence. Rather strangely, he belted out figures of people who died in Hindu-Muslim clashes saying: : 34 people died in UP, 13 in Maharashtra, 15 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Karnataka, 6 in Rajasthan, 5 in Gujarat in 2012 and again 8 in Maharashtra, one in MP, 2 in Rajasthan and 2 in Gujarat in 2013. Omar it seems was trying to justify his Government stand by stating out these figures, as much more people had died in other states. Omar also trying to establish the point that since only three people have died in communal clashes in the state, he should be rather honoured. Thankfully, he didn't mention the holocaust unleashed by Hitler, in which about 5 lakh people had died, and also in many Africian regimes, where thousands have died in violence. The Chief Minister was mainly perturbed on account of the fact that why did Parliament discuss the clashes, why did leaders speak about it, why did Arun Jaitley came here and whey did PDP president Mehbooba Mufti wanted to go there. Omar said why the rest of the country treats J&K differently citing the example of Kishtwar violence. The Chief Minister said he found the answer to the question lurking him for quite some time in this approach of the rest of the country. But, Omar also didn't do much thinking to find the answer about it in his own observation. Omar himself said that Kashmir issue still needs to be settled. And, he had himself said in the past that anti-India sentiments exists and will continue to exist. It's for this reason, that even political parties see disturbance here, they rush here, fearing it may fan out more anti-India feelings. It's for this reason that political parties and leaders, come here to establish the point that J&K is part of the India and happenings here need to be handled in sensitive manner. Omar had cited numbers and figures in his speech, but never in these states the anti-India sentiments is there, none of the Chief Minister of these states, speaking venom against the India and no Chief Minister says that why his credentials are being doubted, but at the same time getting maximum support from the Centre. |
