LMD books 8 traders, realizes fine 4/4/2014 11:15:17 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Apr 4: A team of Legal Metrology Department Kathua today booked 8 traders for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act1997 and realized Rs 13200 as fine. The inspected was conducted by Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Kathua Ajay Verma and comprising of the Inspector Vicky Sharma conducted intensive checking of various Business establishments especially Sweets shops and Karayna shops at Main Bazar Kathua, Patel Nagar, Saheedi Chowk and adjoining areas of Kathua town. During Inspection numbers of traders were inspected. Besides this, Department also directed all the traders to use only verified Weights and Measures for Business transactions and display MRP, PKD, Net Contents and complete address and Consumer care Number on the Commodities to be sold in package Form.
