All candidates in North Kashmir are NC players: Beigh
4/4/2014 11:16:08 PM
Javaid Naikoo
SRINAGAR, Mar 4: People’s Democratic Party Lok Sabha candidate from North Kashmir and former Deputy Chief Minister, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh today alleged that all the people contesting forthcoming Lok Sabha elections on whatever ticket from North Kashmir are actually sponsored players of NC and all such players have been fielded merely with an intention to divert the vote bank of the area favouring PDP at large.
After calling North Kashmir based on Baramulla-Kupwara districts as congested than its nearest central Kashmir's Srinagar, Budgam Lok Sabha constituency, Beigh said that be it Engineer Rashid of Awami Itihad, Lok Sabha candidate of Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone or any other candidate likely to contest from North Kashmir, all such people have been activated against People’s Democratic Party by none other than National Conference, however, PDP is all set to win with a big margin and does not bother to contest against all these people.
"Poll boycott is handiwork of NC as at the end of the day Poll Boycott benefits none other than National Conference and its leadership deliberately involve them to instigate poll boycott," said Beigh
Lashing over NC leadership including Chief Minister Abdullah for propagating that a secret PDP-BJP relationship is gaining momentum and PDP leadership is propagating BJP ideology in Jammu and Kashmir with an intention to form Government with BJP , Beigh said that all such theories of NC leadership are mere 'NONSENSE' attempts and useless to ponder over.
He also said that poll boycott which remains confined to main town Sopore and Baramulla as always does cost its shadow on the poll process and NC which works for such an activity to exist will once again try its best to keep the momentum going in order to gain out of it at the end.
Besides Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, Sharif-ud-Din Shariq is also contesting as NC-Congress alliance candidate, besides Engineer Rashid of Awami Itihad Party who is also Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Langate Constituency, Salam-ud-Din Bajad of Peoples Conference and Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Bhartiya Janata Party are also contesting from North Kashmir and more number of candidates contesting from the area this time are expected to give tough times to each other. Pertinently, Sharif-ud-Din of National Conference contesting from the North Kashmir was defeated by Engineer Rashid during 2008 Assembly elections from Langate constituency, while former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh was the only Cabinet Minister of the PDP who was re-elected in the 2008 Assembly elections and is believed to be an influenced candidate this time too in major vote costing areas falling under North Kashmir Lok Sabha constituency.
