Govt asked to file status report in PIL over State to part agreement from J&K Bank | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 4 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Balvinder Singh a RTI Activists seeking to disband practice of depositing of payments under all major heads of all public authorities to avoid giving undue benefit to the J&K Bank, a Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Muzaffar Hussain issued notice to Chief Secretary, principal Secretary to Finance, Director General Accounts & treasuries, Director General of Budgets & DG Resources of finance Dept and J&K Bank, senior Additional Advocate General waived notices on behalf of respondents whereas notice served to Adv Vipin Gandotra who has been appearing for the J&K Bank. Attar after hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi with Adv Deewakar Sharma appeared for the PIL, the Division Bench also directed that status report along with memorandum of understanding be filed by the State respondents. The PIL is with regard to unearth scandal of Crores of Rupees wherein the some Higher and Senior Officials of State of J&K being hand in glove with a private bank has caused huge loss to the State exchequer and cause wrongful gain to some of the major shareholders, private persons, Bank officials and other Govt. Officials. The respondents by adopting a deliberate and intentional modus has caused huge loss to the Tax Payers money and deceived the State Exchequer. |
