VRS employees stage protest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 16: Volunteer Retirement Scheme (VRS) employees of Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) today staged a protest demonstration in support of their long pending demands including clearance of pending dues. The protest, led by its President Dev Raj Bali, held at Press Club here."The VRS employees are being grinded both ways- one way their services have gone and secondly their dues are not being cleared till date as they were promised to clear all dues within 60 days from the date of VRS," he alleged. The protesters raised slogans against the J&K SRTC higher authorities for not clearing their pending dues of Cost of Living Allowance since 1999 and demanded implementation of arrears of Sixth Pay Commission since 2006. General Secretary it was strongly criticized the attitude of the J&K SRTC and Transport Higher Authorities Bali appealed to the State Government to consider their genuine demands and said pending dues of all VRS employees should be cleared as soon as possible. Kulbir Singh, J.D Singh, B.V Sharma, Prem Nath, Ehsan Elahi, Surjit Sinqh, Surinder Singh and Sain Mohammad were also present. |
