Saahil Suhail
KULGAM, Apr 16: In clear violation of Model Code of Conduct, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that he will resolve the problems of Qimoh residents if they voted party contesting candidate Dr Mehboob Beg.
"With the will of almighty I am the Chief Minister of this state and after results of this elections which are going to be announced on 16th of next month I will remain so. Right now the problems we discussed with Majeed Shab (Abdul Majeed Bhat) regarding Qimoh especially about the municipal committee, I assure you that after May I will resolve your problems like we created administrative units but the question is of the exam that you have to face. You have to select Member parliament and Prime Minister of the country." Omar told the gathering in Qaimoh adding differentiate the contributions of both the candidates and decided.
"You can yourself check the records and see how Mehboob Beg represented the aspirations of people in Parliament from 2009 to 2014 while as when PDP candidate, Mehbooba Mufti couldn't utter a single word other than famous four words 'Mein Kya Bolo Yaar' for which she is famous in rest of the country." Omar said.
Omar blamed People's Democratic Party for forging a secret alliance with BJP. "Mehbooba has openly hailed Modi and wants to see him as Prime Minister of the country but we want Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of country," he said.
Omar addressed a series of election rallies in Home Shalibugh, Devsar and Kulgam constituencies of this South Kashmir district during which he sought votes for collation candidate for Anantnag Parliamentary seat, Mehboob Beg.
Collation candidate, Mehboob Beg, senior Congress leaders Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Social Welfare Minister Sakeena Itoo and MLC Abdul Majeed Bhat addressed the election rallies.
