Four file nominations for Baramullah-Kupwara seat | | | Syed Tahir Bukhari BARAMULLA, Apr 16: Four candidates from various political parties filled their nomination papers from north Kashmir's Baramulla constituency before returning officer in Deputy Commissioner's office complex Baramulla on Wednesday while as PDP candidate will file his papers on Thursday. National Conference Patron Dr Farooq Abdullha and JKPC Chief Saif-Ud-Din Soz and several Ministers accompanied coalition candidate Shareef Ud-Din Shariq for filing nomination form before the returning officer Baramulla. Shariq submitted an Affidavit before Returning officer in which he has mentioned bank balance Rs=13, 90,421 in State Bank of India and 50,000 are shown as cash in hand. Whereas Scorpio vehicle of Rs=7,35,000 as movable property. Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Ghulam Mohammad Mir, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) candidate Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah and People's Conference (PC) candidate Salam-Ud-Din Bajard also filed their nomination forms today before returning Officer Baramulla. JKNPP candidate has submitted an affidavit in which it is shown that Rs 14 lac as immovable property and Rs 30,000 as cash in hand whereas he doesn't have movable property. Former Deputy Director Doordarshan Srinagar, turned politician Salam-Ud-Din Bajard in presence of PC Chief Sijad Gani Lone, submitted his affidavit in which he has mentioned Rs 42,45,188 as bank balance and Rs 30,000 as cash in hand. Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party nominated Lok Sabah candidate for Baramulla constituency, Muzaffar Hussian Beigh is likely to file his nomination papers on 17 April. It is pertinent to mention here that on April 12 Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone who is also Returning officer for parliamentary elections from North Kashmir's 1-Baramulla-Kupwara Constituency issued a notification for conduct of polls which are scheduled to be held on May 7. There are around 1151744 Lac voters who are franchising their votes across Baramulla Parliamentary constituency which includes 606506 males and 545219 female electors and other 19. |
