2011 cross voting reflects NC-BJP love affair | | | Early Times Report DEVSAR-KULGAM, Apr 16: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today said that the Muftis’ were acting as Amit Shahs of Narender Modi in Jammu Kashmir. He was addressing election rallies at Homeshalibugh, Kulgam and Devsar Omar said the only aim of PDP to fight Lok Sabha Elections is to provide tactical support to Narendra Modi and BJP by dividing voters on communal and regional lines in Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Also said that the people of Jammu Kashmir were intelligent enough to understand the PDP game plan. Yes, the people of Jammu Kashmir are very intelligent and they know how NC helped BJP and how they have helped the NC. The cross voting by BJP MLAs in favour of NC candidates during 2011 legislative elections speakes volumes about the love affair. It was Omar who stayed in the ministry of NDA Government when Gujarat was burning. While Ram Vilas Paswan showed courage to disscociate himself with he alliance, Omar stayed back. Omar also made amention of dilution of article 370. Well Omar must know that most of the central laws were extended to Jammu Kashmir during NC regimes. It was Sher-e-Kashmir who conceded the autonomy demand in 1975 by accepting it to remit it to the principals while signing the infamous accord. Shockingly neither Sher-e-Kashmir nor Dr Farooq sought a meeting of the principals. Omar abdullah followed suit and to this day the principals have not met. Dr Farooq had absolute majority in the 1996 house. Still he chose to pass a resolution on autonomy. Had he opted for a bill the situation would have been different today. There is no denying the fact that Omar Abdullah spoke well in the parliament. But what did he do for the 2010 victims. Instead of bringing the culprits to justice, he armed the police with Chilli cannisters and pallet guns . Both these weapons have wreaked havoc with he lives of the people. Can Omar Abdullah answer a question? Why was Professor Saif-ud-Din Soz expelled from National Conference? |
