Stage set for today's Doda-Udhampur LS Polls, 108 polling stations critical | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 16 : Nearly 108 polling stations have been declared as critical as stage has been set for tomorrow's Second Phase Lok Sabha Polls for Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency."2051 polling stations have been established in all the districts of the Constituency out of which 108 have been identified as critical with highest in Kathua," an official here said. He added that 22,516 number of polling personnel have been deployed at various polling stations while adequate security arrangements have also been made for tomorrow's poll process."As many as 14,61,373 electorates would cast their vote in tomorrow's polling and decide the fate of 13 candidates," he added and said that in total number of voters there are 777599 males, 677850 females, others one and 5923 service voters. Meanwhile security has been beefed up and heavy deployment has been made across all the districts especially in Kathua region situated along the Indo-Pak international border, he added.Heavy weight Ghulam Nabi Azad, BJP candidate Jitendra Singh, PDP's Arshad Malik, BSP's Dharampal Balgotra and JKNPP's Bhim Singh are among the candidates are in fray for Udhampur-Doda Constituency. |
