AAP leader and candidate from Srinagar parliamentary seat Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat has lambasted the Government for its complete failure towards addressing this serious problem and alleged that even the 70 kanal horticulture nursery located in colony too has completely submerged in water and plantation worth lakhs of rupees got damaged. Muzaffar while attacking the ruling NC lead Government said that the area has been water logged since last one month and till date not a single top level official from flood control department has visited the place except officials from local administration and Fire Brigade department. He said as many as half a dozen houses have been damaged and no steps are being taken to drain out the water from the colony. Pertinent to mention that the houses belonging to Riyaz Ahmad Ahangar , Nazir Ahmad Bhat , Mohammad Sultan Nagoo have already been damaged and several other houses are under serious threat. "This is for the first time that such problem has erupted but barring local Tehsildar of Chadoora and few other officials from district administration, none from flood control department has visited our area" said a local resident Nazir Ahmad Bhat |
