Couple among 4 of family hospitalized for food poisoning

Kishtwar, Apr 17: Four of the family including husband, wife and their two minor children were hospitalized at District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar after they complained vomiting and nausea due to food poisoning. As per the details, Ghulam Qadir (31) s/o Fatteh Naik, his wife Maryama Begum (30), their two children Mohsin Ahmed (3) and Insha Banno (6) of Sewa Chatroo were shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar in critical condition after they reportedly had some wild vegetables.
"Soon after having their meals, the family started vomiting and the condition of all the four deteriorated further and they fell unconscious, sources said. They said locals on seeing this shifted them to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chatroo from where doctors referred them to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar.
At DH Kishtwar, the doctors washed their stomach and then started their treatment. "Two minors were reported stable while the couple yet is under medical observation, sources said. Meanwhile local police after taking cognizance in this matter have started investigations.
