Contract ambulance service for ESI beneficiaries of Kathua, Samba | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Apr 17: The ESIC Regional Office has been making continuous efforts to provide improved services to the employees and beneficiaries covered under the ESI Scheme. Towards this ESIC has placed contract ambulance service from Kathua for ESI beneficiaries of Kathua and Samba areas which facility ESIC Headquarters had sanctioned earlier and for which tendering process was completed in 2013. Regional Director Arvind Kumar informed that the ambulance service has met a long pending and much needed demand of the ESI beneficiaries of these areas. He stated that the Ambulance services would cater to both the Dispensaries (ESI & ESIC MDDC) at Kathua and two Insurance Medical Practitioners of Samba & Vijaypur, associated for providing treatments under the Scheme, for referral to ESIC Model Hospital, GMC and Tie up Hospitals / Nursing Homes in Jammu, Samba, Kathua or other places where tie-up exists for the ESI beneficiaries or would be done from time to time for ESI beneficiaries of Kathua & Samba. Doctors can place the requisition with Medical Officer In-Charge of ESI Dispensary, Kathua who would be the controlling authority. Further the Medical Officers In-Charge of two ESI Dispensaries and Branch Manager, ESIC, Kathua will be free to provide Ambulance services for catering to any emergency such as industrial accidents. This service would be available for and benefit around 25000 ESI covered employees and their entitled family members totaling to around 1 lakh beneficiaries. |
