Jammu, Apr 17: Satish Nehru (IAS), Secretary to Govt. Housing & Urban Dev. Department had an extensive tour of Jammu city for inspection of ongoing as well as completed works of comprehensive Sewerage Scheme for providing sewerage facilities to the Phase-I of Division 'A' Greater Jammu being executed by NBCC as well as left out areas of 10 MLD S.T.P being executed by UEED.
The inspection started from Karan Nagar area of old Jammu city covering Radio Colony where float tests of already laid Trunk Sewer as well as laterals were conducted and were found to be satisfactory. Thereafter the team inspected the ongoing works on main Trunk Sewer Line through JDA Park.
NBCC authority was directed by the Secretary for execution of works strictly as per Codal procedures on prescribed quality norms.
Inspection of ongoing works of left out areas of 10 MLD STP at Camp Gole Gujral road from Talab Tillo Chowk to Jaswant Plaza was also made.
