Burglars struck at ISKONS temple ahead of 'Rath Yatra' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 17: In a bizarre incident burglars struck at famous ISKONS temple Muthi on the intervening night ofApril 16/17 and decamped with valuables including jewelry worth lakhs. This has left devotees in shock who were enthusiastically preparing for scheduled annual Lord Jagannath Yatra on April 22 being organized by the said temple. Police sources said, "The valuables belonging to the temple, worth lakhs were stolen here in Muthi area." "Some thieves broke into the temple popularly known as ISKONS temple situated in Muthi during the intervening night ofWednesday/Thursday and decamped with the costly items worth lakhs." According to the complaint from the temple management, the stolen property included cash of Rs 84 lakh and jewelry valuing lakhs. Following complaint the concerned police have registered a case in this connection and have started investigating the matter. |
