Jammu, Apr 17: Sleuths of Crime Branch Jammu today booked a fraudster for allegedly preparing fake date of birth and qualification certificates for an individual so that he can apply in the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Fire and Emergency Services. Official spokesperson said, "Crime Branch, Jammu registered a case under FIR No.07/2014 u/s 420, 465, 468, 471 RPC against one Subash Chander for preparing/procuring a fake and fabricated qualification/DOB certificates." "As per communication of G A Bhat, DG Fire and Emergency Services, J&K, Jammu to Crime Branch, Jammu through Crime Headquarters wherein it was alleged that one Subash Chander, resident of Billawar, Kathua had applied for the post of Firemen driver specifying his qualification as Matriculation during the session April May 1994-95 under Roll No: 322074 with his Date of Birth as 25/07/1980 through J&K State Board of School Education (BOSE) and later was selected, official spokesman said. The communication further stated that the certificate submitted was found to be fake and fabricated as his date of birth as per records was 25/07/1978 and the result was that he had failed in matriculation examination, therefore it was requested that the matter may be investigated. "Acting on a complaint, Crime Branch, Jammu registered a case under FIR number 07/2014 under sections 420, 465, 468, 471 RPC against the accused for preparing fake certificates. However, a formal case has been registered at Police Station Crime Branch, Jammu and investigation started, said the spokesman. |
