26 fresh advocates administered oath | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 17: Jammu and Kashmir State Judicial Academy, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir under the guidance and instructions of the Chief Justice (Chief Patron, State Judicial Academy) and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar, (Chairman Committee, State Judicial Academy) and Justice Hasnain Masoodi, (Member Committee, State Judicial Academy) held oath ceremony cum distribution of Advocates' license for the new entrants to the legal profession in a oath ceremony held today in Jammu. Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Judge, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir who also holds charge of Member Committee, State Judicial Academy presided over the ceremony and administered oath to new advocates before handing over enrolment certificates. At the outset special invitee congratulated newly enrolled advocates and welcomed them to the fraternity of legal profession. He also enlightened them on the professional ethics and conduct. He told the newly enrolled Advocates that they must know their roles and responsibilities in the administration of justice. Highlighting do's and don'ts of profession he said that it is their duty to provide their clients with factual information, to help them with realistic, to promote human rights, while they shall refrain from going to assumption. He added they shall work within personal limits and set clear boundaries and to follow a clear Code of Ethics. He advised the young lawyers to prepare their cases after complete preparation and research because even a petty and insignificant case for them might be most significant for their client. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Registrar General, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir who is also Incharge Director, State Judicial Academy conducted the proceeding and delivered the Advocates' license (Enrolment certificate) to the 26 Advocates of Jammu Province. |
