Kamaal sees a secret deal in Geelani, Mirwaiz row | ‘Elections and Kashmir resolution two extreme ends’ | | Javaid Naikoo Srinagar, Apr 21: Terming the ongoing war of words between Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as an outcome of some secret deal between the two, National Conferences (NC) additional general secretary, Mustafa Kamaal said that elections and Kashmir resolution are two extreme ends which can never be compared with each other. Talking to Early Times, Kamaal said that when both the senior separatist leaders, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq are up against each other on the issue of meeting Modi's emissaries, something fishy seems to be cooking up in the separatist camp. "When BJP denied the claim of Geelani Sahab, the separatist leader should have come out with details and disclosed the names of the people who met him on behalf of Modi," he said. Calling Kashmir resolution and elections of any nature two extreme ends, Kamaal said that all the separatists including Geelani and Mirwaiz have failed in their mission of enforcing poll boycott. He said Geelani has also accused Jamat-e-Islami of having a truck with New Delhi. "The episode, therefore, needs to be investigated," he said adding "Geelani and Mirwaiz may have finalized a deal and may be fooling the people by washing dirty linen in public." Pertinently a war of words is going on between two separatist factions of Kashmir. Geelani issued a statement last week saying Modi had sent two emissaries to him and a separatist organisation was involved in negotiations with New Delhi. Mirwaiz reacted harshly saying "Who the hell is Geelani?"
