Clash of egos climaxes; employees intensify agitation
Row between ARO, SP Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Apr 21: Clash of egos between ARO and SP Kishtwar got a notch higher today with several employees' associations joining the stir of the poll officials who have been demanding action against SP Kishtwar, who allegedly misbehaved with the polling officials including the ARO.
Teachers/Masters association Kishtwar, Lecturer Association Kishtwar, Low Paid Employees Association, PDD Association, INTUC and others intensified their agitation against Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal. The agitating employees' alleged misuse of election funds by DC and SP Kishtwar and demanded an independent probe against the guilty persons involved in siphoning of elections funds.
As per the details, all the employees of Deputy Commissioner Office Kishtwar today assembled inside DC office complex and held strong protest against Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar for extending illegal support to SP Kishtwar who allegedly misbehave with ARO Kishtwar in full public view.
The agitating employees also locked all the offices located inside DC Office Complex and paralyzed routine work. The agitating employees after locking all the revenue courts and offices held a march towards Shaheedi Mazar Chowk Kishtwar raising anti DC and anti SP Kishtwar slogans. The agitating employees refused to budge till the FIR was not registered against SP Kishtwar, SHO Dachhan and Incharge PP Inshan (Warwan).
"During his meeting with employees at his office chamber, DC Kishtwar condemned SP Kishtwar's behavior and supported registration of FIR against him, but later succumbing to police and political pressure, DC back tracked from his promise and instead supported wrong doings of SP Kishtwar", said Mehboob Qazi. He said that both the areas are presently under the heavy cover of snowfall. He said that Election Commissioner of India has declared Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan areas as hypersensitive and said that the polling staff trapped in these areas is without security and demanded action against the security personnels as well who left the polling staff abandon.
The employees also condemn the registration of an FIR against President Teachers/Masters association Kishtwar Mehboob Qazi, Tanveer Malik and others by Kishtwar police and demanded immediate quashment of the FIR No. 59/2014 registered at Police Station Kishtwar U/S 341/504/506/147 RPC against the polling staff associated with ARO Kishtwar . Tanveer Malik while addressing the gathering said that the FIR registered by Kishtwar police against them has no legality as police register this FIR against them only to save its skin from the clutches of law.
Meanwhile, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori also condemned the misbehave by SP Kishtwar with ARO Kishtwar and police action against polling employees. Various student organization has also extended its support to the agitating employees and assured them that in case the need arises, the students will hit the roads alongwith these agitating employees.
