Jammu, June 17: Vaishno Group of Colleges (VGC) have always been a front runner in promoting quality education, outstanding skills and achievements, be it in the field of academics or any extracurricular activity, contributing to the society at large and in this endevour the VGC shelled out scholarships to outstanding and needy students to encourage them for a 'better future'.
According to spokesperson of college, the Vaishno Group of Colleges has a well organized and dedicated scholarship cell which is constantly in touch with the various government departments to facilitate the students in availing the scholarships under various Government schemes. "More than 100 students have received scholarships so far and many more are under process, he added.
He stated that in a simple function was organized at college campus to distribute the cheques to beneficiaries.
Rahul Pathania, Director VGC who presided over the occasion distributed the cheques to beneficiaries namely Fariq Farooq, Adil Amin Bhat, Amit Pal Singh, Aquib Mushtaq, Jamshed Ahmed, Mohd Iqbal Bhat, Muzamil Tariq, Qusar Quyoom Bhat, Surabjeet Singh, Zafeer Ahmed, Zuhaib Gulzar, Danish Ryaz, Mohd Khalid Saifullah, Mohd Umar Farooq, Musadiq Bin Javed, Sukhvinder Kour, Davinder Singh, Mohd Arif Khan, Harjap Singh and Bhargav Mohan.
