Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: On reviewing the overall security arrangements, in the backdrop of the forthcoming festival Ed-ul-Fiter. Addl. Director General of Police (Armed) S.M.Sahai called a meeting of senior police officer for briefing up the security grid and making all necessary arrangements of the smooth conduct of the Eid -ul-Fiter celebrations in a secured environment. Detailed assessment of law and order situation as well as security scenario was taken from all the concerned agencies and subsequently all the concerned Officers, responsible for maintenance of Law and order and strengthening the Security Grid in Jammu, were asked to gear up all their resources to increase vigil and enhanced security and law and order measures in the City and on these special occasions. While reviewing the security arrangements with the Senior Police officers, Mr Sahaiexhorted upon them to remain alert , extra vigilant and ensure that trouble mongers, who are always looking for opportunities to create disturbances, are kept at bay and new year celebrations should be conducted in a peaceful atmosphere. Police and paramilitary officers should maintain close coordination at all levels so that peace and order is maintained during the Eid festivities, he added. The ADGP was apprised by the IGP Jammu Zone Rajesh Kumar about the overall security scenario of Jammu Zone and the steps being taken to further gear up the security arrangements. Among others, the meeting was attended by IGP Armed , P.R. Manhas, DIG J-K-S Range , S.A.Beig, DIG CRPF, R.S.Rotela, DIG (OPS) BSF Jammu V.K.Chand (Retd. Brig.), DD (IB) Jammu, SSP CID SB Jammu , Varinder Sharma, SSP CID CI Jammu , Shailender Singh, SSP PCR, S.J.S.Johar, SSP Samba, Anil Mangotra, SSP Kathua, Mohan Lal and territorial SSPs of Jammu District. |
