Kishtwar, July 26: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan, a team of officers headed by Tehsildar Kishtwar Phulail Singh (KAS) alongwith Executive Officer MC Kishtwar, SHO Kishtwar, Food Safety Officer Kishtwar and doctors from Veterinary and Sheep husbandry Kishtwar today conducting surprise market checking. The market checking was aimed at maintaining good quality of food during the holy festival of Eid ul Fitr. The qaulity of mutton, chicken , fruits, vegetables and sweets was checked and violators were fined and the rotten fruits , vegetales and unhygienic chicken and coocked foods were destroyed on spot. An amount of Rs12, 000/was realized as fine. On this occasion, four shopkeepers were also booked under Food Safety and Stantard Act, beside one quintal of rotten fruits and vegetables, 20 Kg sweets and 40 Kg unhygienic chicken was also destroyed by the officials of MC Kishtwar. Moreover four domestic LPG cylinders were also seized from various commercial establishments. All the fruit sellers and meat sellers were instructed to keep the meat and other eatables covered so as to protect against dust and unhygenic agents. |
