YAIKS condemns issuance of expression of interest forms | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 26: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has condemned and rejected the repeat move of Govt. for issuing so called expression of interest forms by the Relief organization for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley. According to press release, in the meeting which held under the chairmanship of YAIKS President R. K. Bhat, the members cautioned the community for accepting such forms which have already been rejected by the community in 2008, the result being not a single family has been able to return to the valley. "No such move of the Govt. will be acceptable without seeking the consent from the displaced community who has actually to return to Valley. The return of KPs in previous locations and such small clusters have already been rejected by the community by and large. It's ironic that without having any proper roadmap for the return expression of interest is being circulated by the Govt. unless a comprehensive road map for the return is not being finalized, community is being advised to not fall in such mischievous act of the Govt. which can be counterproductive for the community in near future who has to return after 25 years of exiled period", they observed. "The YAIKS is convinced that the new dispensation at the Centre is committed to deliver on the promises made to displaced community. It is, therefore, imperative that we choose to be a part of this process. It has taken us full 24 years to bring the train on the rails. Let us ensure that we do not derail it; for if that happens, it shall make us lose golden and perhaps last opportunity to reclaim our motherland", they said. |
