12 booked for assault, damaging house over land feud | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 26: Police today have booked twelve persons for assaulting a poor family and dismantling their 'kacha house' over a land dispute in Thanamandi of Rajouri district. Of the twelve the police have arrested two persons while manhunt to nab others is on. According to police sources, the cation was taken following the complaint from victim identified namely as Razia Begum wife of Mohammad Iqbal of Danna Hasplote village of Thanamandi who in her complaint lodged with police alleged some locals attacked her family and also dismantled their kacha house. Taking cognizance in this regard, concerned police acted swiftly and team led by SDPO Thanamandi, DySP Surjeet Bhagat started investigation and found the complaint true after which a case under FIR 103/2014 under sections 452, 382, 354, 147, 427, 327 of RPC has been registered against accused. "Meanwhile twelve persons including Mushtaq Ahmed and Mohammad Issaq sons of Atta Mohammad residents of Danna have been booked by police while others are evading their arrest so far, police sources said. Confirming the incident, the concerned SDPO Thannamandi Bhagat said, "Police have booked twelve persons for assaulting a poor family and dismantling their house over a land dispute. A massive manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused. |
