Dental surgeons continue hunger strike, hold dental check camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 26: Continuing their hunger strike for consecutive 14 days, Dental Surgeons Association Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) today held dental check camp. 74 patients were checked during the period of 3 hours which shows that there is how much need of oral health care in the society and the present NC-Congress government is least bothered about oral health care in the state and is making the general mass of the state fool by its false claims regarding improvement in health sector. Chairman of DSA-JK Dr. Pawan Singh informed that to highlight the irresponsible attitude of the State Govt. towards the Dentistry, a free Dental Check Up given to the by-passers in front of Govt. Dental Hospital, Jammu, so as to aware the common mass regarding oral Health, and pathetic and oppressed condition of unemployed Dental Surgeons in J&K State. Dr. Singh further informed that if the demands are not met we are going to take more aggressive protests in Jammu as well as Kashmir after Eid-ul-Fiter and will give a call of secretariat gherao at Srinagar. |
