Jammu, Aug 21: Recovery of empty shell of pistol bullet from the murder site, by a team of Forensic Science Laboratory, has given a new twist to much publicized Kalakote triple murder case, as the involvement of some other person/persons is suspected in it.
The family members also met the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Headed by DSP DR, NK Chib visited Kalakote on Wednesday but the family refused to give their statement in absence of security cover and have been living in alleged constant threat of elimination by some influential people of area, allegedly involved in the murder of their daughters and police constable Sanjay Singh.
According to family members, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team on Wednesday visited deceased Uramila's house in Thermal Colony, where Urmila, her sister Nishu and police constable Sanjay was allegedly killed by other person. While collecting samples for investigation, into the triple murder case, team found an empty shell of pistol's bullet was laying behind the door, said Bashinder, brother of two sister killed on July 27.
He further said that they have refused to make any statement before the SIT without security cover. "The SIT team, headed by DSP NK Chib also visited Kalakote on Wednesday for recording our statements, but due to security threat we have refused to make any statement", he said, adding that they were fearing of life and if security is not provided to them, they might be illuminated like, earlier triple murder case.
Meanwhile, Retired ZEO, Vidhi Chand has sought transfer of, SP Rajouri for fair probe into triple murder case. "We are assured that Kalakote police is directly or indirectly involved in the murder case. Investigation is being biased on caste base. Earlier, on July 28 when SIT was constituted by police department, ASP Nowshera was made head of the team, but within few days, ASP was replaced by his junior, DSP rank officer", he said, adding that they were smelling something fishy and biased enquiry.
He further said that not only police even Health Department was also defending the culprits. "Even, a doctor was forcibly asked to provide treatment to Urmila Devi when she made suicide attempt, before her killing, when she was killed", he said, adding that Dr Shouqat Hussain, who attached with BMO Kalakote detached very next day when he refused to provide treatment to Urmila.
"Since it was a police case, Dr Shouqat have also argument with BMO, Dr Suresh Gupta, who directed the doctor for treatment", Vidhi Chand, said, adding that administration has been trying its best to safeguard the actual culprits.
DSP, NK Chib who is heading the SIT to investigate the matter didn't pick the call for comment.
