Govt adopting apathetic approach towards plight of border residents: Vikramaditya

Bishnah, Aug 24: Expressing his grave concern over prevailing hostile situation on the International Border (IB) due to continues firing, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Vikramaditya today lambasted State Government for not providing relief to the families affected by the heavy shelling in the border areas.
He observed that State Government was adopting causal approach towards dealing this human problem. Interacting with some affected families of border areas who have taken shelter at Maralia area after shelling on the border, Vikramaditya said that it was duty of the Centre and State Government to provide security and shelter to the border residents. "It is very unfortunate that nothing has been done to provide shelters to the border residents in case of shelling", he said and expressed his serious concern over ever increasing plights of the border inhabitants, who have been facing hardship due to apathetic attitude of the authorities. "Government should immediately provide ration, relief and medical facilities", he demanded.
While interacting with affected families, Vikramaditya Singh assured that he will take up the matter with the higher ups. "I am going to Delhi today and would take up with this issue with the authorities concerned", he assured the people. Vikramaditya Singh, after interaction with the affected families of border areas, brought up this matter to the notice of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
He asked Divisional Commissioner to immediately provide relief, ration and medical facilities to the affected families.
Calling upon the people of Jammu to remain united to get adequate share in the power, Vikramaditya Singh said that he has joined politics to empower Jammu region. "Now a days leaders of different political parties are speaking in different voices but we have to remain vigilant because these parties are propagating divisive politics", he said and observed that interests of every sections of the society were safe in the hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Vice President Trilok Singh Bajwa, Generala secretary Yashpal Sharma(MLC), Hamid Choudhary, Maj Gen (retd) R S Jamwal, Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Dr Kamal Saini, Satpal Charak, Rajinder Manhas, Chatter Saini, Yashpal Bhagat, Nisha, Mohini Sharma, Surender Sharma, Tarsem saini, Babloo Sharma, Hari Singh, Madan Chalotra and others also addressed the gathering.
