Jammu, Aug 24: Dogra Pujari, Jyotish, Shastri Sangh has strongly criticized the impersonation drama of one Ved Parkash Sharma who is willfully posing as president Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) for last more than two years with the active support of some vested interest. Addressing a meeting, the president of Sangh, RP Shastri stated that DBPS on one hand file affidavit in the High Court stating that the election to the executive were conducted except for the post of president, election to which is still pending. But on the other hand they clandestinely name Ved Parkash Sharma as president without fail in every press release, which is criminal, misleading and is contempt of court. Speaking on the occasion, Shastri called upon the Brahmin community to question the present Sabha, which is headless since last two years, how expenditure is being incurred on different gatherings without formation of working committee, which constitutionally was to be nominated by the president himself. Other office bearers who claim to have been elected without elections by unfair means cannot perform the duties of president, the post being vacant. All decisions taken so far absence of president are unconstitutional and the expenditure thus incurred is unlawful, unconstitutional and Brahmin community should ensure the recovery of this unlawfully spent expenditure. He cautioned the members to be vigilant about the activities of Ved Parkash Sharma posing himself as president is befooling the community to meet his personal interest. Shastri demanded white paper on the accounts of the headless Sabha unauthorized collections and unlawful expenditure for their self monitoring gains as the case is till sub-judice in the court of law and VP Sharma has no moral, legal, constitutional right to pose himself as president of the Sabha. Shastri declared that an emergency meeting and press conference shall be conducted at Chankaya Chowk, Prade Jammu, to expose the nefarious designs of Sabha. Others who were present in the meeting included Maheshwar Sharma, Des Raj Sharma, Sham Lal Mishra (Shastri), Kuldeep Shastri, Makhan Lal Shastri, Hasn Raj, Dewan Chand, Ashwani Sharma and Chander Mohan Sharma. |
