Model Academy celebrates 'Senior Citizens Day'

Jammu, Aug 30: To mark senior citizens day students of Model Academy School, visited Old Age Home.
The students from classes 4th to 6th, accompanied with 4 teachers, visited Old Age home and distributed sweets, fruit, bread and biscuits among the inmates of Old Age home. The purpose of the visit was to make the children aware about the importance of seniors in the family and the love and respect needed to be given to them. The students had a wonderful interaction with the senior citizens who were happy to meet the children.
A special morning assembly was also held in which the students of the Drama Club presented a skit depicting the role of elderly people in our life. Cards were presented by the students to the senior citizens of the school. In his message to the students, Dr. Arun K Gupta, Chairman, MIER said that children should take out some time to talk to their grandparents as they need our love and attention.
