Daring incessant rains; Teachers day celebrated with enthusiasm, gusto

Jammu, Sept 5: Daring incessant rains, different educational institutes of Jammu province today celebrated Teachers day with enthusiasm and gusto with performances and presentations on the life of second President of the Independent India, Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishan.
GLS Public School, Amar Colony celebrated teachers day to commemorate the contributions of the Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan with different cultural programmes.
On this day, school students dressed up like their teachers and taught their juniors the lifestyle of the great teachers of the country.
Apart from debates, skits were performed and poems were read out to mark this occasion. The teachers of the school were given titles and the students shared words about their favourite teachers to honour them.
Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Udheywala Jammu celebrated Teachers day with grace and gusto. Senior students of the school managed the school right from its morning assembly till closure. Students of class 12th in disguise of their favourite teachers managed the school and exhibited an interesting show in the school auditorium.
On this auspicious day A. K. Bhat, Chief Manager from SBI Talab Tillo facilitated the school by donating a computer system and a Best teacher award.
Immediately the programme was over students, teachers and all others who were present in the school auditorium shifted over to, comparatively more spacious college auditorium to watch and listen to Prime Minister's speech which was over by about 5pm.
Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office witnessed the interactive live telecast of Prime Minister Narender Modi in the auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Jammu.
Adequate arrangements were made for about two thousand and five hundred students of the Vidyalaya to witness this programme. The provision of LCD projectors at four places at different points in the accommodations available in the Vidyalaya, were made. Two new Dish Antennas viewing the programme on TV screens were added to the previously available dish antenna for ISRO and CIET/ NCERT video-conference programmes.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu as the Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee, KV No.1, Jammu took keen interest in monitoring the the progress of the arrangements being made by the Vidyalaya.
Earier the team of the Door Darshan covered the event and reported on DoorDarshan in their telecasts.
AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, D R Meena, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region and T R Choudhary were among the officials who attended this televised live interactive programme of the Prime Minister with the students from all over the country.
It may be referred here that the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Leh of KVS, Jammu Region were selected to interact with the Prime Minister, alive.
Ambedkar Public High School, Vijaypur celebrated Teachers day with zeal and gusto within the school premises and senior students of the school taught juniors to dedicate their life as a teacher for one day.
Nightingale Pre School celebrated Teachers day within the school premises to honour the sincere efforts of the teachers of the school and country who made India a great country.
Sweets and gift were distributed to the teacher by Yudhvir Sethi, Senior BJP leader. He even thanked the institution for giving him this opportunity. On this occasion he shared his own memories with his teachers even said and advised the students to always give respect and honour to teachers as they are real people who shape our Nation.
BSF School celebrated Teachers day with fervour and gaiety within the school premises to honour the enlightened teaching fraternity.
A special morning assembly was held. All the teachers paid floral tribute to Dr S Radha Krishnan. Chairman BWWA, Pratibha Sharma, first lady BSF Jammu FTR was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She was enthralled by the performance of the students and the enthusiasm of the teachers in imparting quality education to them. Addressing the gathering of the faculties and students during the ceremony she said: "A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning and BSF School is doing a good job in making the students contributing members of the society".
Sri Guru Gobind Singh School today celebrated Teachers day in its school premesis. All the teachers of the Higher Secondary, junior and middle wing participated in the function. Chairman of the school Prof. Harbans Singh, a well known educationist motivated the teachers to adopt new techniques and methods of teaching. Gurtaj Singh, Principal of the school in his address laid importance on discipline and its importance in life of every individual. He congratulated the teachers on this pious day.
R.M. Public School celebrated teachers Day with great zest and zeal. The function started with the lightning of lamp followed by Gayatri Mantra. Students presented number of heart throbbing dances and melodious songs. On this occasion chief guests were PDP leader Bharat Choudhary, Sardar Amrik Singh Reen and Vijay Raina along with other dignitaries. Chairman of R.M. Public School, Rameshwar Mengi welcomed the Chief guests. He also honored his staff members on the occasion. At the end of the function he gave away vote of thanks to the dignitaries.
Sunrise Public School organized Teachers day at Channi Himmat Jammu, on Friday. According to press release, different competitions were organized in the school on the life of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan wherein students participated enthusiastically.
Rajesh Sharma, Trustee of the school said that the priority of the school is to open an Old Age Home Club for the welfare of the senior citizens as according the trustee, their condition is degrading in the fast developing country.
All J&K ReT Teachers' Forum today celebrated the Teachers' Day in the loving memory of 2nd President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. According to press release, the Function was organized at Krishna Palace Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar and was attended by many senior leaders of the Forum.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma reminded the dedication and devotion of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who has regarded the teachers as best minds of the country. All the Teachers on the occasion paid a rich tribute to the Second President of India and pledged to work with dedication in their teaching work to raise the standard of Education and create moral values among the students.
Gandhi Memorial College of Education (GMCE) today celebrated teacher's day with fervor and gaiety.
According to press release, rich floral tributes were also paid to Dr Radha Krishnan (ex-President of India) by Principal Prof G L Koul, Prof Satish Talashi (Administrator) and students and staff of the College.
Complementing on teaching fraternity of the college, Prof G.L Koul appreciated the teachers for their altruistic devotion to their profession and said that teachers are like beacons of light, who guide the students in their formative years.
The celebrations included a gala show presented by students from all wings of GMCE. The teachers were given a very warm welcome by the students with a scintillating welcome song which was followed by items like Folk songs, play on illiteracy, speeches and recitations by the students of B. Ed, MCMP ETTC courses of the college and the school wing.
National Secular Forum today celebrated the teacher's day in the university campus greeting all the teachers for their valuable contribution to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of the students. Sukhdev Singh, President National Secular Forum along with its members of the forum which included the Scholars from various departments first of all greeted and presented trophy to Vice Chancellor Prof Mohan Pal Singh Isher of the Jammu University on the eve of teacher's day.
Addressing the members of NSF, Vice Chancellor thanked NSF for their greetings and highlighted the role of teachers in the student's life. He further said that in our country and culture a teacher is still holding great honor and respect. He is considered as a foundation of all knowledge and source of great ideals. He is the torch bearer to the society. Students look up to him with faith and hope to seek his guidance. Teacher can guide the whole generation through his versatile personality.
Sukhdev Singh highlighted the role of Dr. Radhakrishnan as great teachers who influenced this country with their philosophy. He said that he believes in the ideology of Dr Radhakrishnan that teachers should be best minds in the country.
Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions celebrated Teachers Day with pomp and show. The colorful Ceremony started at 11.45 am. Teachers were received ceremoniously by the students and escorted to the College Auditorium for the official celebrations. The Chief Guests of the day were Prof. J.R.Dhotra, Director-IMS & Dr. Seema Narain, Director-YCET. Guest of Honor on the occasion was Er. B.R. Verma, Dean Academics-YCET. The Prefects ushered both the staff and the Chief Guest, and were felicitated with flowers and greetings. Students from various departments, Nidhi Jamwal & Ankush Khajuria from IMS, Ankush Sharma & Pardeep Sharma from Department of Computer Sciences & Piyush Bhasin & Ashima Bali from YCET, welcomed the gathering and gave the Teachers' Day Greetings on behalf of all Students. The atmosphere of standing in line and singing the national anthem was quite reminiscent. Teachers Day Song was presented by the college choir. The faculty was then called to cut the cake. All the students sang along to the tune of "Happy Teacher's Day".
Dewan Badrinath (10+2) Vidya Mandir Amarvilla celebrated Teachers Day with massive participation of the students. Vijay Lakshmi, Joint Secretary, J&K State Board of School Education acted as the Chief Guest. Dr. Gautam Mengi presided over the function. The function started with chanting of Mantras and Hawan. Students presented the cultural programme. Small kids from Primary wing also presented a song in the praise of Guru Leela Sharma (Advisor), Rajendra Kakkar (Manager Trust), Dr. Ramakant Dubey (Advisor) were also presented in the function. Suresh Sharma (Director Academics) welcomed the guests. The key note address highlighting the importance of the day and its relevance was presented by Dr. Gautam Mengi. The others speakers also spoke about the role of the teacher in making India a developed dream country of the world.
Jodhamal Public School celebrated Teachers Day with enthusiasm and participated actively in different programmes celebrated in the school. Students heard PM Live followed by an Interaction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with student community on the occasion of the Teachers Day and in Jodhamal Public School special arrangements were made for the live interaction of the students with the PM during the question answer session.
PM told the kids how important are the values in our life and how we should stand for our values in today's pretext. He said that there should be no discrimination among students on the basis of abilities and for a teacher each child should be important. He focused on Girl Child education and stressed on reducing girl child drop outs after class 3rd due to the lack of toilet facility in the rural schools.
After the video conferencing was over, the Jodhamal students had a 20 minutes interactive session where the students from different classes reinforced the points put forward by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Present on the occasion were the Principal Trilok Singh Bist, Vice Principal Monika Sethi, IT Incharges Kiranjeet Kaur & Anshuman Sharma, Nivedita Sharma and the parents and guests beside the students from 7th to 12th classes. To mark the celebrations of Teachers Day, Kartar Public School organized function here on Friday. Nirmaljeet Singh Chairman Kartar Educational Trust grace the occasion as Chief Guest whereas Mrs. Harpreet Kour Secretary of the Kartar Public school and Principal Manjula Dogra along with staff and students participate.
Speaking on the occasion Nirmaljeet Singh Amn congratulated the teacher's day and said that the students should respect and follow the path of their teacher's. he said that importance of the teacher's day means that one should work for the betterment of the society and the teacher were contributed a lot who had contributed a lot in building a strong nation, a healthy society and peace full environment full of patriotism and national integration.
In her address, Manjula Dogra Principal KPS said that the students should respect and adopt the values and ethnic importance of the environment, which penetrate in the student community through the books taught in the school curriculum. She also congratulated on the special occasion of teacher's day.
Earlier the students of 12th acted like a teachers and taught the students. The students of class 9thto 12th standard presented a colorful cultural programme and entertained the teachers.
Heema & Kunal conducted the proceedings of the programme whereas, Ms. Anjali presented vote of thanks.
In connection with 'Guru Vandana Chhatra Abhinandan' programme, Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua unit organized a function in the premises of Rachhpal Memorial Senior Secondary School Kathua, on the auspicious Teachers' Day.
Two eminent icons of teacher fraternity i.e. Kulveer Singh retired Chief Education Officer and Retired Zonal Education Officer K K Nayyar were felicitated on this occasion by the Chief Guest Professor Ram Murti Sharma.
Parishad also organized a seminar on the topic 'Role of teacher in society' in which five contestants participated. All the participants threw light on the topic with confidence. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ram Murti Sharma highlighted the role and importance of teacher in the modern society and stressed upon the students to develop values acceptable to the society.
