The department is taking the inquiry back to restore the same to Crime Branch Jammu which is already investigating the matter. Officials in PHQ informed that the department is likely to divert the inquiry to the Crime Branch as simultaneous inquires cannot go for the same offence. "While the Crime Branch of State Police which has already registered an FIR No. 11/ 2012 on the basis of a written complaint and is investigating the matter after seizing the records, then how come the another inquiry for the same offence is to be initiated," informed sources, adding, despite holding another inquiry, the same should have been dispatched to the Crime Branch". Meanwhile, Crime Branch officials said that the investigation is nearly on completion. The multi crore scam in the shape of grain carriage erupted in district Rajouri and the same was handed over to the Crime Branch after a complaint was lodged with the CM grievance cell. Later, two officials were detained with Rs 2 crore by Rajouri police, however later on it turned out that only one crore has been recovered. The missing of one crore has raised many eyebrows. Meanwhile, the matter is being looked into by the Crime Branch. Pertinently, Rajouri police started investigation after receiving the fresh complaint from the dealers, on whose name fraudulent drawls of crores have been done by CAPD officials of Rajouri. |
