AJKPC demands essential relief material at Panchayats' disposal | | | Jammu, Sept 5: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), has expressed its deep grief over the loss of human lives in different incidents across the state during last 48 hours due to constant rains and flood. According to press release, Anil Sharma, the AJKPC President expressed serious concern over this natural calamity and he asked the State government to come forward and puts all its men and machinery on the job to provide adequate relief to the effected people due to the rain and flood. Anil said the Panchayat members must be taken into loop while distributing the relief material amongst the victims and the district administration should also ensure that at least ' essential ' immediate relief material and first aid kits are also available at the disposal of the Panchayat so that in case of any emergency the same is distributed amongst the needy. The leaves of all doctors, paramedical staff and other allied services memebrs be called off and minimum number of paramedical staff is also made available at the Panchayat headquarters to meet any eventuality AJKPC leader also demanded one month's free ration including fuel for the effected families besides cash relief to reconstruct houses damaged due to nonstop rains. Sharma said all members of AJKPC have also urged the union government to release special package for the state of J & K to meet this unpredicted natural calamity. |
