KPC lauds HM's initiatives for KPs return to Valley | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 5: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) applauded and welcomed Union Home Minister (HM) Raj Nath Singh for writing a letter to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to identify the land in Kashmir valley for the rehabilitation of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits. Kundan Kashmiri, National President KPC while welcoming the move, re-iterated his demand that the internally displaced community of Kashmiri Pandits in exile from the last 25 years to be rehabilitated and re- settled at consolidated place in Kashmir valley, having writ of Indian constitution to allow them to live together as a community as well as free citizen of India. The consolidated settlement at one place in the valley should be self- sufficient in terms of overall infrastructure, economic avenues, decent housing, educational and training institutions, health care facilities, commercial and business centres& complexes, comprehensive security arrangements and all other facilities and requirements for comfortable and prosperous life at par with other citizens of the country. KPC chief also appealed and insisted to Union Home Minister that early steps need to be taken by Government of India to abrogate the Article 370 as promised time to time by the present ruling party as the abrogation of Article 370 is pre- requisite for the return of KPs to Kashmir valley. |
