Political leaders visit flood-hit areas | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Sept 5: Senior political leaders from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and local MLA Surjeet Singh Salathia visited flood-hit areas in Vijaypur and expressed their solidarity with them in the hour of crisis camps. Senior BJP leader Chander Prakash Ganga visited flood affected areas including Kamore, Rangoor, Nanga and interacted with affected people. During his visit he observed that flood has badly damaged the standing crops of farmers as all the fields were inundated and filled with sand while water has entered into residential areas of Rangoor On the situation Ganga said that this is all because of the government failure as the government has failed to get any permanent solution of this Bandh which often gets washed away or partially damaged whenever there is flood like situation. He assured that the matter for construction of bandh shall be taken up with Centre and to seek permanent solution. Narender Sharma, Tarsem Lal , Amit Dubey , Ajay , Sunil , Dr Butti Ram , Subash, Jai Ram , Tarsem Singh, Ashok and Ashwani Sharma also accompanied their leader. Mean while PDP leader Vijay Choudhary also visited flood affected areas Brota Camp ,Rangor, Nanga Kamor border area Ramgarh Camp and etc. during his visit a series of deputations of people called on PDP leader and apprised him with their plight caused due to damaged newly constructed Bandh resulting into loss of crops. People lamented Had the authorities/state government got the dam completed timely with quality material this flood like situation might have sidelined. Border President Ram Singh Klandria, Soni Sharma Ved Parkash and others also accompanied Vijay Choudhary MLA Vijaypur Surjit Singh Salathia MLA Vijaypur Surjit Singh Salathia also visited flood affected border villagers of Ramgarh sector. During his visit he took stock of loss of property in the recent floods however ge faced the ire of people in Rangoor where agitated people stopped him alleging if the Bundh was repaired/constructed timely they might have saved from such odd situation. |
