APMCC demands evacuation of stranded people from Kashmir Valley | | | Srinagar, Sept 7: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has appealed the Prime Minister of India, Defence Minister of India and Home minister of India to press Air force aircrafts into service to evacuate the stranded people particularly Kashmiri Pandits, Secretariat employees, PM Package employees and tourists from flood ravaged Kashmir Valley immediately as the situation was becoming alarming for them in Kashmir Valley. In a statement issued here the APMCC chairman Vinod Pandit has appealed the Prime Minister of India, Defence Minister of India and Home minister of India to press Air force AN 32 aircraft into service to evacuate the stranded people immediately from Kashmir Valley warning that any delay may result in loss of human lives and health hazard for them. Vinod Pandit who along with 100 other Kashmiri Pandits are stranded at Zeshtha Devi Temple since September 3 after returning back from Gangbal Yatra has said that people putting up in hotels and temples are in a worst situation with no food, water, medicines and other essential things putting their health and life to great risk adding while Srinagar city was inundated with flood water the Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed and was unlikely to be reopened soon. |
