Frustration goes high among BJP leaders as Central leadership not keen to hold elections | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 29: Frustration is growing among BJP leaders who are dreaming to enjoy power in Jammu and Kashmir because central leadership of the party is not in a mood to conduct Assembly election in the prevailing circumstances. If credible sources in the Saffron party is to be believed, entire leadership of Jammu and Kashmir is trying to convince the Central leadership that Assembly elections in the State should not be delayed any more. Jammu and Kashmir unit of the party is unanimous in conducting election in this situation because all state unit leaders believe that there is strong pro-BJP wave in the State so there are chances that party would sweep the Assembly polls. And more important of all, State unit of leader feel that performance of all the three Lok Sabha members elected from the State is excellent so it is the proper time to utilize the prevailing favourable conditions. Claims of the state unit of BJP leaders are doubtable but still such leaders day dreaming that they would win nearly 30 seats to form the government. But central leadership of BJP is not much enthusiastic to conduct assembly elections in the present scenario when rescue and rehabilitation operations were going in full swing. State unit of the BJP has urged the central leadership to convince the Election Commission of India to hold election on time in Jammu and Kashmir. Credible sources said that BJP leadership has made it clear to the state unit Union Government would not interfere in the working of the Election Commission of India. Central leadership of the BJP has made it clear to the state unit that instead concentrating on elections, all MLAs and MPs of the State should utilize their energy on rehabilitation of flood affected people of their respective constituencies. |
